STEAM
In Te Ngahere we have been doing a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) activity. The activity was to make a marble run. To do this we had to use materials around the class and also from home to build a ramp. So that the marble could roll across the floor to reach 110 centimetres away from the end of the ramp. This was a very fun activity. I enjoyed testing and modifying the ramp. I learnt what variable means as well. Variable means something that stops the marble or changes your results when you do scientific experiments. I think my group and I could of had built a different ramp from the messy creased cardboard one we had because we designed the sides wrong, which affected the direction the marble went in.
